Hann and its origin
A gathering of SLA students, contributed to providing the message and spreading awareness of how violence impacts society as a whole. Since the year 2010, the violence in Philadelphia has risen by a large margin that has affected the living of the innocent and adolescents in the area. Citizens are afraid to step out of their living spaces because young men and women that are roaming around the streets have involved immaturity and disrespecting their neighborhoods to be suddenly be a norm. The teens of this era have created lots of hectic in the streets, which have the region shook. Flash mobs, a big origin of teen violence has become a famous "hobby" to teens when they cannot find anything else better to do on their spare time. In this video, it is given there are many different examples that teens now in this time go through and see as a so called "threat". This includes different aspects such as bullying, disloyalty and vandalism as well. "Hann", which was created to be a so-called catchy phrase that everyone could remember in order to make a change and impact on the community.
Hann stands for Help Adolescents Notice Negativity, allows us to reach out to the teens and adolescents of the community of Philadelphia. Flash mobs has cost many citizens lives and creating a need for more police officers to be on guard for teens roaming the streets of Philadelphia at inappropriate times. SLA students are hoping that it makes some kind of impact on the community. This way there is a chance to bring change together everyone as a community, causing less danger to the innocent pedestrians in the streets of Philadelphia.
